I’m a scientist: an evolutionary biologist who studies behavior, and the behavior I have studied on and off over many years is that of American Crows. They’re a tough bunch to study, especially because their smarts and wariness make them so difficult to capture (so you can mark them, so you can tell one individual from another).

I’m an educator: I’ve been teaching college-level biology courses for decades, and am pretty good at it.

I’m green, a vegetarian, a feminist, a Democrat, love the outdoors, and play ice hockey.
